My favorite slit maker

I am frustrated that tools that were available when I wrote How to Make Sandals are now no longer available through the links that I included in the book. I love this 3-prong 1/8" thonging chisel made by Osborne. It is cut from one piece of steel, which makes it very durable - I've been using the same one for years and it still punches nice little stitching slits. I use this "chisel" for all my stitching on shoe uppers, I like the way stitches look going through slits instead of holes. I did find a link to another company that sells the punch - https://www.ebay.com/i/162895024562?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&itemid=162895024562&targetid=915282956376&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9001675&poi=&campaignid=10460112666&mkgroupid=101996180045&rlsatarget=pla-915282956376&ab

(Wow - can you imagine how long links are going to be in another ten years?!)
